Hey all you metal building builders
Was curious how easy it is to add windows or doors to a metal building structure... Trying to figure out if I have to decide exactly what windows I want to use before putting up the building, or if I can add some of them later.
Thanks for any...
So... looking for feedback on the most cost effective and efficient building method for a 50x100 shop (leaning toward 16' tall).
Tilt wall is too pricey, so leaning toward metal building. However, insulating it properly, etc is adding up a lot.
Curious about comparing to stick building...
At my commercial office space I have a ~1300 sqft shop space (concrete tilt wall construction) with a 10x10 roll up door. The back side (door side) of the shop faces west so it's stupid hot in there in the afternoon (I have already insulated the door which helped quite a bit).
I've wanted to...
So... I'm looking at some land and will need to build a shop, etc if I get it. Been looking at various options per usual. Curious if anyone in the area (this would be in the Anna/Sherman vicinity most likely) has any specific recommendations on vendors, etc.
Would be looking for someone to...
Okay... so I'm in the far North Dallas area and curious what method you would suggest for building a shop? Steel building, concrete blocks, etc? And whose would you recommend?
I know this is opening a can of worms... but hopefully there will be some good recommendations. I'm leaning toward...
I've seen a few of these kits, but they seem pretty limited. I have the ability to make them, and am curious what labels you feel would be valuable to include in something like this.
A few in mind so far:
Breaker bars
Saw blades
Allen wrenches
Hex keys
Screwdrivers
Tape measures
Torches...
Anyone else used this tool cabinet? http://www.gregsmithequipment.com/product-p/httb4411bbs-bl.htm
Looks real good for the price. Sadly, Costco doesn't seem to carry their 41" SS model anymore, so this is the best thing I've found that's similar in quality for the price.
Anyone have experience with, or think that, VCT would work well on the floor of a trailer? Seems like it would hold up A LOT better then just vinyl flooring with the abuse and chemicals in an enclosed trailer.
I grabbed some of the most popular color samples, took a picture and made some "squares" to help do some layout tests on the computer. Figured some others might want to do the same.
Here are the pictures: http://www.fxol.com/?l=43v
Hope they help some of you.... I've made some thinner...
So... where is the best place to get (price?) VCT? Also, is there a good sample color list anywhere? Didn't seem to find one on their site, but might not have looked hard enough
Either someone online, or somewhere in the DFW area? :)
