What are these ? I had the big one for several months and a week or so ago a friend gave me another. They are not magnetic. But have a metallic ping to them when tapped together or on my vise .

Picked up a Buck Bros hammer the other day was so rusty and the leather so dry and crumbly I couldn't tell what brand it was until I got it home and cleaned it . Does anyone sell leather washer kits for these ? I'm finding washers for knives but they don't seem large enough for a hammer...

I've seen a few posts in re this post but we're older ones. Didn't want to revive one. Or is that the preferred way. Anyhow in those posts I didn't see one like the one I found this morning. If I'm correct it's from the 1930's. Just wanted to share.
