I was gifted this anvil over the weekend by a family member who was cleaning out his shop. Guessing it weighs about 35#, its base is a hair under 4" wide and 13" long. It has no stamps or visible markings on it, although there are a couple of pads that have been ground smooth on both sides...

so how did I do? Runs nice and smooth...

I like to think I'm pretty knowledgable about tools but this one has me stumped. I got a whole bucket full of old tools of my late father when my brother cleaned out his garage. This tool in particular kind of had me wondering about its purpose. Mods feel free to move this if in the wrong forum.
