Mike, thanks for the memories. You are two years older than me - I was born at the Osteopathic Hospital - the old one on east Douglas - in 1959. I graduated from Wichita High School North, and in earlier years attended school in Maize. I also worked at Cessna for a short time, working on the...

Go to the top of your thread, and maybe page 1. On the right are three dots, an ellipsis if you will. Click and Edit thread. Don't change the title please, because we are all accustomed to it. But right there is a drop down where you select the size.

How do you go about having a hemp farm? I must have missed the start of this story, and if so, I apologize. There's got to be a way to validate your crop. In my imagination I can see a sheriff's deputy driving down the road one evening and upon seeing your plot, imagining he's just made a big...

11 quarts from the first big picking from the garden. There are tons of green tomatoes and even blossoms, so there's more on the way. My wife and I each have our own hobbies, but canning is something we share. It's not a chore, it's just a fun time together. I appreciate the comments, Kirk...

That was a bigger batch that I thought it was. We canned 20 pints. Plus we had another quart left over after filling the pressure cooker to the maximum number of pints (20), so 11 quarts total. My wife will make a big batch of goulash tomorrow from the leftovers that didn't fit.

There are some things about human nature and neighbors that I just don't understand. I just can't imagine being concerned about what my neighbor does in his own back yard. I think that is why this is so interesting to me. The close quarters with the neighbors, add in a neighbor who involves...

I'm guessing 13 pints, so 6 1/2 quarts. But that's a guess. We will find out tonight.

The tomatoes are starting to come in. My wife will start preparing them, and we will can them tomorrow evening. The first batch will be stewed tomatoes.

I'm impressed with the progress your GC and crew are making. That footer looks great. Somehow I missed why you had the bumpout. That's an excellent use of available space. I see your neighbor has a roof patio over their garage, too.

Years ago we had a cat that would poop in the pots of my wife's houseplants. I don't even know how the cat did that, because some of these pots were 4" in diameter - so that cat's behind was somehow positioned into less than 2 inches. So, yeah, they can be determined at times.

Indeed! I love cleaning out stuff that I know I'll never use again. And amazing how good it feels to have stuff out of the way. I love that word. I don't think we have a good equivalent in the daily vernacular in American English. "Messed up" just doesn't have the same impact. Thanks for all...
