    Show your new tool arrivals

Funny, their stock was reasonably good as I looked around the store, especially clothing (bought me some tightie-whities), then there were a few holes on the shelves here and there. Told my wife I'll be surprised if they're around this time next year.

SHOP RADIOS, what are you using?

Onkyo receiver, Onkyo turntable (yes, I spin vinyl in the garage sometimes) with a Grado cartridge, Panasonic DVD player for the CD's. Sound comes out of an old pair of DCM Time Windows hidden behind a couple of Kawasakis. All found on Craigslist, except the Grado. Sounds bitchin'.

Display & Organization ideas for "special" car parts

My sister-in-law gave me an old Delahaye steering wheel for Christmas, cuz I like old car stuff. I bought a 20" display box at Michael's (a craft store chain), for about $25. Bolted the wheel to the inside back of the box. It now hangs in my garage like art.

Is there anyway to paint a vehicle in the garage without overspray issues?

Clear coat with a hardener is dangerous stuff without proper gear and ventilation. I've done it a few times in my garage on small projects. Like said earlier, base coat is not so bad, but clear coat tends to hang in the air, so overspray on other vehicles and things inside the garage is...

    Harbor Freight Coupon Thread

Could you post a pic of one? That sounds cool. Surprised it can hold that weight, although I used two in tandem to roll a V8 + four speed under my car, worked great.

    Sears selling Craftsman brand ?

USA Today, CBS, Wall Street Journal, and others say Sears is re-entering paint sales to bolster their home improvement market. Doesn't sound like they plan to go out of business soon, if they can help it.

    Vintage Motorcycle Shop

Great collection, Rizingson. Which bikes from the '60-'70's do you find the easiest to restore and find parts? I picked up an old B8 if for nothing else, garage art. Where would somebody find knee pads for that?

    Stupid People: Autotech Edition

Working at a Datsun dealership years ago, I saw a tech finishing an oil change, the oil hose hung from a rack above the car. The car was a 280ZX with T-tops. He accidentally let go of the hose and it coiled back up to the ceiling, waving back and forth and spraying oil on the roof and interior...

music for my single car garage

My garage system was under $200 from a couple Craigslist ads. I've got an old school Harmon Kardon integrated amp, Kenwood turntable (yes, I spin vinyl in the garage), a Sony CD player, and a pair of DCM Time Windows from the '80's. I don't IPod. The music sounds awesome and sometimes I stop...
