    YES. Always outside and no stainless steel for the sacrificial pieces. Even though it's a small chance, the process produces hydrogen gas which can build up in an enclosed space. One spark and you got a mini Hindenburg.

    Finally done with this Reed 106. Electrolysis tank, wire wheeled, with a BLO finish. Still can't read the date stamp. Can anyone hazard a guess about age?

    Thank you. It was a labor of love though. Previous owner had welded nuts to the base bolts. Every screw had to be cut out or drilled out. The entire dynamic jaw body was filled with epoxy for reasons I will never understand. It isn't going to win any beauty contests, but solid and functional...
