Don't put electric heat in the shower. It won't do any good. The only good it will do is, floors with hot water dry faster.

even I was going to suggest the same thing. Cementing is better than wooden floors as it is strong as well long lasting.

Polishing helps to bring back the lost shine on the floorings. It helped me as well.
