Normal operation: Alternative routing: You just run the belt through the hole in whatever you're sanding before you hook it over the lower pulley. May want to remove the platen as well, I didn't for a quick picture.

That idler arm isn't engaged in normal use. It's used with a second small idler wheel under the table for an alternate belt routing to sand the inside of objects with a hole in them. I'll grab a picture on lunch break, it'll be much easier than trying to explain it.

I made these to sort my junk drawer out. Built from 1 x .125" flat stock. Cut half way through at the joints with a cut off wheel and slotted together. A tack weld at the bottom locks the joint. The whole thing lifts out of the drawer if I change things around.

I'll use my 8mm or 10mm to break stuff loose. The larger ones usually don't offer enough leverage to easily break things loose though and I just use a long handled ratchet or breaker. I do occasionally use them for re-assembly though.
