    Garage freezer Temperature Swing

Not Retired, Actually a long way from it. Thanks. I think I'll try the trick with the frozen glass of water and a coin. Freeze the water and set the coin on top, check and see if the coin sinks into the ice. There is possibility that the temperature sensor is picking up the warm air from the...

    Garage freezer Temperature Swing

Exactly, do not know how long. I had not opened the fridge or freezer in probably 10 hours. The thermometer only tells me the max temp it reached and what time that occurred.

    Garage freezer Temperature Swing

Ok so currently the garage is not cold, so I’m understanding that running it through the winter could be a problem, however right now I do not think I’m having that problem. This morning around 2am freezer hit 49F. Fridge only hit 39F. I did move the thermostat probe away from the back...

    Garage freezer Temperature Swing

Interesting idea. Do you have that light on 24/7? Or timer? And I’m guessing something like October-April. I wonder if I could rig up the inside light to stay on if that would be enough. Also will check the doors for self shutting.

    Garage freezer Temperature Swing

Garage conversion kit, I'll check that out. I'm also wondering if possibly the temperature probe for the freezer is too close to the defrost heater. And the fridge temperature swings could be the door constantly opening and closing. I'm going to move the probes around and report back.

    Garage freezer Temperature Swing

I'll look into the light solution. kbuhagiar - Could you elaborate on 'icing'..? The inside of the unit is not icing that I can see, it is getting too warm. (Also around 12 years old I think) zendriver- No stupid questions. I'm not sure about self defrosting.. What does that consist of? Is it...

    Garage freezer Temperature Swing

Upstate NY. Garage temp is about 60F right now. I had not thought about that, and that could very well be the case. However it did this all summer when garage was between 70-80F. Could last winter have damaged the unit? Garage does not get below 45 in winter as it is heated as my shop...

Disclaimer: Non ‘in the garage’ post but relates to this thread. I enjoy following along this thread and adding along when I have accomplished something in my shop or feel I have something somewhat useful to comment. Even if I’m not participating it is nice to have a thread that continues on...

I hope you are right and it runs good for you. Might have better luck on the lawn mower because it’s a fixed rpm. I have had such a bad experience with Amazon carbs that I have 100% swore them off. Tried ATVs, chainsaws, brush cutters, string trimmers. Nothing but headaches. I would get...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Spent 3 hours Sunday finding and fixing my ABS problem. Broken wire on the main body harness, right where a bundle of wires splits off for the ABS/EBCM module. Interestingly enough it was a corrosion problem right where the wire had been repaired/spliced before by a previous owner. Fixed...

    Power Venting for Garage

What is your climate? I’m in the north east US, and to cut a 16” hole in the wall would greatly reduce my heating abilities. Maybe this is not a concern to you. Depending on how big of a project it is, I think I would start with 1 fan and see if it is enough for you. Can always add another fan...

AC condenser on dad’s Honda Accord, Also did brakes on all four corners. Tore apart the front left wheel/brakes on the 2017 gmc sierra. Have this abs light that is throwing traction control codes, brake controller and abs codes. Front left abs sensor open circuit. Just threw a new sensor in...

Looks like a brand new building. Google maps shows nothing, but if you drag the little guy for street view it shows construction at that address. Looks like the whole industrial park is pretty new. Could be good news if they are doing well enough to build a new building.

Is it shipping to a terminal? Quick call to Stratus and maybe they could forward it to the other terminal? Or just leave it alone, one more variable could cause more headaches. Hoping they've properly resolved this for you.

So this Ferris is running high lift blades, not mulching, but I think they are stock….not sure what the recommendations are for mulching blades. I’ve heard good about the gator blades. Mowing twice a week would be difficult considering my current schedule and amount of grass. Also I agree on...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Serviced the mower. Since it’s been a wet season most of my cutting has been wet/damp and tall grass. Pulled a 5 gallon buckets worth of green grass chunks from the deck. No wonder it was cutting and discharging poorly. I usually clean it before it gets this bad, but time has been flying by...
