    Route a slot in the length of PVC pipe

    I am having a problem as to how to make a slot in a piece of 4" PVC pipe. 5/8" slot about 7" along the length of the pipe starting at the end of the piece. Was planning using a router and 5/8" straight bit. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
