What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Keeping with my detailing / pressure washer obsession at the moment, I decided to make myself a detail cart with an old Harbor Freight roll around cart I've had for years. It has gone from my main toolbox to a welding cart, to a place to stack ****. Well now it's a detail cart. I git rid of...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

I mentioned my plans in the new tools thread, but my parts finally came in so I could get rid of that awful hose this pressure washer came with a install a flexible rubber hose. I also added the reel to make it easier to wind/unwind.

    Show your new tool arrivals

Well thanks to YouTube, I went down a rabbit hole that cost me a ton of money. I have been debating buying my dad's New Holland skid steer since he is getting too old to use it or even get up into it. It is an older machine but low hours and in good shape, just needs a deep cleaning. It is...

    Show your new tool arrivals

I have been needing one of these for a while and finally pulled the trigger on it after struggling with a part on my son's girlfriends car where this would've come in real handy. I also picked up this electric grinder for my backhoe adapter assembly. And also picked this chamfering tool for my...

    VEVOR pass/fail

I bought their tractor 3 point quick hitch. The metal they used for the frame was roughly 1/16" thick at most. It was rated a category 1 but it was so flimsy I would never trust it to hold anything. Besides that, it didn't fit, the openings where the 3 point arms go through were too small and...

What Tool Is The Bane of your existence? I'll go 1st

I thought of another tool that drives me nuts....flashlights that require multiple button pushes to turn off. I have never in my life needed "less light", a flashing light, or a red light. Seems like you can't buy a flashlight without different level settings that you have to scroll through to...

Farm 50 Projects and How I Hide From My Family

Its finished, it works, and lifted the heaviest thing I had available without any bending, twisting, etc. And since I cannot see the forks at all from.the seat, I added a camera and monitor today.

What Tool Is The Bane of your existence? I'll go 1st

Dang, I was just looking for this thread so I can vent about grease guns. Without a doubt the worst designed tools in existence. I just spent an hour trying to replace the cartridge in one I bought at a yard sale. The tube was stuck inside. No matter how many rags you have on hand, it will...

Farm 50 Projects and How I Hide From My Family

Well its painted. Couldn't find any brushes for the grey so I went with the black in one of those turbo cans. It makes a mess but goes on quick. The latch box handles will be red so when Im on the backhoe telling my wife or kids to pull the lever I can say "pull the red lever".

Farm 50 Projects and How I Hide From My Family

Added some chain hooks to the top of the plates. Added the second crossmember. And finished with some gussets to add a bit of strength to the SSQA latch boxes tubing. And with that, the welding/fabrication is complete! Now to paint it.

Farm 50 Projects and How I Hide From My Family

Made some more progress today. The two parts are married together and have a few welds holding them where they should be. I got a late start so I didnt make much progress unfortunately. I was pretty happy with it, tested it several times and it worked great. Called my wife out to see how...

Farm 50 Projects and How I Hide From My Family

Made some good progress today after work. I have a bad patience problem and usually rush through everything, but this time I took my time on literally every weld, making sure I clamp things down so they dont move, make sure everything is square etc. That's why it has been taking so long, but...

Farm 50 Projects and How I Hide From My Family

I havent posted in this thread in a while. Ive been hibernating most of the winter, but I now have a new project on the farm. The problem, I have a 2011 John Deere 410J backhoe and need attachments. This backhoe has the quick change bucket on the front that John Deere calls "Worksite Pro"...

Speed Handles --- What They Good For?

I have 4 or 5 of them and have never once used any of them. I usually pick them up for a dollar or so at yard sales. Some people won't believe me though, but I will never forget going over to my dad's buddy's garage when he was rebuilding a 429 Ford out of my dad's dump truck and watching him...

    Show your new tool arrivals

Serendipity I believe is the word. Just last night, I ordered a plastic welder and hot staple welder for a bumper repair for my daughters car. It arrived today. While at work, I get a call that my other daughter was in a minor wreck. I get home and the headlight is hanging out and the hood...

Choosing the right scan tool...confusing to say the least

Do you plan to keep it updated? I would love to know if you still have full functionality after the subscription ends. I keep reading that you will not lose it, but have seen many complaints about loss of some functions after the update period. Then again, it could just be a bug a few people...
