Sears Craftsman tools in Deptford, NJ heads up

I was wandering around my local Sears this afternoon, and figured I'd give y'all a heads up to what I found. Most all of the tool sets are commie chinese now. To my surprise almost all of the loose tools, the individual sockets and wrenches and whatnot, are all still new old stock USA made...

    Got a new snap-on locker!

Found this on CL this morning. Drove an hour and a half into BFE Pennsylvania and snagged it this afternoon. More storage space whee! It is a Heritage series locker, but it'll bolt right up to my Classic 78 box. Model KRA5012. Cost me 500 bones. Not bad considering they are $1,500 new.

My Craigslist haul of the day (snap-on)

Picked up a few things off of a retired tech in northeast philly earlier today. Figured I'd share. 1/4" drive Snap-On torque wrench (reads 10 in-lb low when tested against my beam torque wrench) 1/4" drive stubby ratchet cutting dikes Craftsman USA vice grip (bigger one) Irwin Vice Grip Not...

    Air compressor motor question..3hp work?

Hey, I have a big ancient 120 gallon dual piston Curtis compressor, and it has a 7.5hp 3 phase motor on it. I want to put a 1 phase motor on it, for ease of wiring it up. There's a used 3hp motor on my local craigslist, would that suffice you think? or is that too big of a horsepower loss to...

    Bought a Miller TIG welder!

I just picked up this little beauty today! Figured I'd show it off a little. It's a Miller EconoTIG TIG welder. I think it is an older model, can't really find much information about it. Brand spanking new!

Bought a Curtis air compressor today

So I picked up an old Curtis brand air compressor today for dirt cheap, but know nothing about this thing. Figured I'd throw some photos up and see if anybody here knows about these things. Is this a good brand? Looks pretty solid. From looking at the tags, it seems to have been made in 1971...

Got a new Snap-On socket set

Figured I'd share. I purchase a fair bit of tools used, there's an old fellow who comes to my shop every now and then with stuff for sale. All brands of tools of all types, and other stuff. He knows I have a hardon for Snap-On stuff, and usually stops by when he has some of that. Just picked...

    Snap-On plasma cutters?

I'm in the market for a good plasma cutter, and there's a 110V "Plasma 25" 25 amperage Snap-On one for sale local to me for $800. These things seem to sell new for about $2,000, according to Snap-On's website...

    Got myself a new welder!

I brought this home with me today, courtesy of craigslist! It's an OLD Lincoln AC-225 buzzbox stick welder. Very common welder. Came with the welding helmet, and a couple boxes of really old (and contaminated) Lincoln welding sticks. I bought it so I could weld thicker steel, as the 110V MIG...

My Grandfather's old Craftsman table saw

So I am cleaning up my basement a little bit, to make room for a reloading area for myself, and I came across my grandfather's old table saw. I fiddled with it for a little bit, and it works just fine. There is a penny behind the big yellow screw in fuze. :eyecrazy: I think I might just keep...
