I bought a box of old tools to get a Kabar knife. These items were included. I think they could be nautical related. The brass item appears to be a go no go guage,, one side is 5' the other is 3 3/16. thanks

I am going to look at a lathe in the next few days, the guy hasn't got back to me with the make or model yet, but says it's old. I have never had a metal lathe before, any ideas what I should be looking for? thanks Steve
