    BOOM Project

Just kicking off a project thread here. I happen to have a spare boom for a sailboat that I recently parted ways with recently. I was going to pitch it, but it occurred to me that it might be useful in the garage as a boom arm for power / air. It's already hollow, rigid, lightweight... seems...

    Terminal Enclosure / Barrier Strip

Can anyone recommend a terminal enclosure or barrier strip that is not a piece of garbage? I'm attempting to relocate a load center, and I'd like to avoid having a mess of wire nuts when I extend the existing circuits.

    PEX for compressed air line

Perhaps there is something I'm missing, but if your compressed air system is regulated to <~150 psi, why would you not simply use PEX? It is cheaper and easier to work with than black pipe, and cheaper than rapidair or similar.

    Sizing gate post

I am quickly finding myself breaching the edge of my experience / knowledge. My project for next weekend is to build and set an 11' wide, 5' tall driveway gate. I have been able to determine (I think) that the gate will weigh approximately 250 lbs. To do this, I found a references to 11ga...
