    Shop attic access

I'm looking ahead to the interior phase. I have a 14ft ceiling with storage attic trusses. I haven't framed in the access point because I'm weighing my options. Is there any solution to a folding attic ladder for such a high ceiling? I can only find 10 & 12ft ones.

    Outside wall lighting questions

Hey folks. So I'm at the point of installing outside lighting. I was planning on the same crafstman style the house has, which is still available online. Our house has one on each side of the 16ft garage door. I have a 30x40 building with a 12x12 door, 10x8 door, 3' man door and a 5x4 window on...

    Shop smoke detector

Hello folks. So I need to wire a Kidde smoke detector RF one in the shop. It will signal another in the house bedroom closest to the shop (30ft). Do I need to have it on a dedicated 15A circuit, or can it share an attic lighting circuit?

    Lighting 1200sq/ft shop

So I'm at the point of shopping for high bay lighting. My thoughts are to wire 12 8ft (two 4ft, two T8 bulb units). They'll hang about two feet from the 14ft ceiling rock. One switch/circuit will control 8 and the other switch/circuit will control the remaining 4 plus outdoor lights. Any thoughts?

    Roping stick-built shop best practices

Just wired my sub panel and one 20A GFCI rec. What's the best way to get around corners? Should I head up the stud to the attic and drop down, or drill through the corner 2x6's? I'm worried about structural integrity lost.

    New Shop electrical questions

I've built my 30'x40' shop 30ft from the house. I have 2" schedule80 pvc from house main panel to shop (stubbed up through slab). Now I want to install a 125A sub panel in the shop. I'm thinking I need #1 copper conductors. The panel will have 22 circuit capacity. I plan to weld, run table saw...
