I have a coats baseline balancer I picked up for cheap, the previous owner said it was working great then it stopped spinning automatically there for not working, what could be wrong, motor tests out good and the unit powers on like it should

Are gear wrench universal sockets decent. I'm looking at the 1/4 and 3/8 sae sets. They won't be heavy use and can't really justify sae snap ones, I have Matco metric sets but I use them almost every day and don't have a Matco dealer ATM
