I would like to make my long torx sockets shorter Is it possible to pull the bit from the socket cut it down and put it back on the socket ?

We'll it looks like Gearwrench has come up with another winner in my opinion I see they are coming out with socket sets that include shallow , mid and deep in a nice case ( the lids are removable ) so that makes for a nice organized toolbox I wish they would put the new products on their website...
