I popped my "estate sale" cherry!

Went to a local estate sale/auction on Saturday. There were some NICE things being sold, but mostly eBay vultures were bidding. I did manage to get one lot for $17.50 It consisted of a Snap on 16oz deadblow and t handle screwdriver. Both were new, never used.

    Snap On Jacket

Saw this listing for this jacket. The listing says small... but the picture looks like it's bigger for some reason. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SnapOn-Snap-on-Tools-Coat-jacket-nt-matco-small-suede_W0QQitemZ250537142009QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Automotive_Tools?hash=item3a552d66f9

What to do when a tool goes missing?

Ok. I bought a new Snap On air ratchet (FAR7200) weighing in at $389 plus tax. About a month ago it came up missing. One of the other guys in the shop immediately said he used it, and probably left it wedged in the frame of a vehicle he worked on. Amazingly he found a guy that "found" the...

    Would he get your business?

I started at a new garage a few weeks ago. So naturally, I have a new Snap On rep. The problem is... he doesn't stock Blue Point tools. Now, mind you, I don't have but ONE Blue Point tool (45 degree pliers). And as Murphy's Law would have it, they broke 3 weeks ago. Since he doesn't stock Blue...

    The ultimate socket organizer quest

I am on a quest for the perfect socket organizer. I have several different brands of socket organizers and like the Mechanic Time Saver's "Lock a Socket" the best for its fuction. However, I can't stand having to pull the rail up to identify the socket I need. I want to add labels to the socket...

Intermediate markdowns may have been taken

What does this mean on the Sears website? Is the tool on clearance (spencerian gets giddy...:bounce:). I was told this particular item was clearanced at Home Depot.

    I need a rechargeable screwdriver...comments encouraged!

After having to do an evaporator core on a 2004 Grand Am I realize my cheap Black and Decker screwdriver just won't cut it. I have been thinking about either a VPX, Bosch, or Snap On. The VPX is Lithium Ion, can be had from Walmart for about $42 (on sale now), and has a rebate for a free second...

    9mm? What do do with a 9mm?

Socket that is. What use is a 9mm? I can't think of a single time I have used my 9mm socket or wrench. That being said, if you buy Snap On tools the set price is the same as buying pieces. So you could save $10 on a metric shallow socket set by buying them seperate and omitting the 9mm....right?

Craftsman AXS or used Snap On?

There is a local pawn shop that has a Snap On toolbox. It's a KRA3800A and KRA3810A. The box is not in excellent shape, but it is in fair condition. They are asking $1200 for it. Bottom Dollar. I have always liked the AXS from Craftsman and can get one for about the same price. The difference...

    Rebuilding a mechanic

After 8 years of not turning wrenches for a living I decided to get back in. Eight years ago I decided to go to college and sell all my tools. I used to have a pretty good collection... I had a few thousand dollars and needed to stretch it! I bought most of the tools I have on sale at Sears...
