Anyone Know What This Tool Is? Steel Fork/Brush/Thing

I found this handmade tool in a wall at my house during a plumbing repair. It looks like it might have been dropped down the wall during construction. Details on the house look like the it was begun before WWII & finished during or shortly after. City records show 1924, but that may have been...

Driving Ground Rod into Rocky Soil?

Any tricks for driving ground rod into very rocky soil? Like former river bed type rocky soil. Big rocks, little rocks, & in between rocks. I've got a Hitachi SDS Max hammer with a ground rod cup that is just being laughed at by this earth.

    Dremel Replacement Suggestion?

What would you use in place of a Dremel rotary tool? On jobsites I usually don't have easy access to air so something with an electric motor would be better. I rarely use a Dremel. Strangest Place You Found a "Lost" Tool?

Mine was a pair of baby vise grips. I looked everywhere. I thought. Finally gave up & bought a new set. Years later, there they were. Still hanging on to that old rounded off brake bleeder. Who knows how many miles. Tough little tool. Good thing they were on in a fashion where "Down" was tighten.

What is your Pet Peeve about your Tools?

I hate shovels with concrete on them. It makes them unnecessarily heavy. The friction keeps them from digging correctly. Why in the world anyone would allow concrete to dry on a shovel I will never understand. Especially if you borrowed the shovel from me. I have also been spoiled by self...

    Arbor Press vs Hydraulic Press

Any reason why you would need both? Other than space or the cool look of an older press? It seems like the hydraulic press would handle most jobs. Is there more finesse with an arbor press?
