Sorry for the dumb question but can a chainsaw do all the tasks a hedge trimmer can complete? Or do I need both for obviously different tasks? Again, sorry for the noob question as I have never owned both. You should see our yard hehe.

Any tips of how to mount this on a 2 x 10? Do I have to remove the reel assembly so I can mount the bracket with lag bolts? I'm worried about messing up the spring mechanism but there is barely enough room to tighten the bolts. Installing this as we speak. Please help.
