Soft close drawers for tool boxes ?

Is there anyone who sells it for an option or has anyone heard of it before on a tool box ? I love how easy my Matco box drawers open and close but now It seems like once a week I have to move all my tools back to the front of the drawer. Unless I slow down the drawer way down when it shuts...

When were Sears best years ?

With Sears circling the toilet, one part of me says that they had it coming and the other is really sad about it. I remember when I was a kid in the 80's wearing out the Sears & Roebuck catalog admiring all the wonderful things they had. I would dream about their tools, stare at their guns...

Got a new Matco ratchet today

Are they being made again or did I get a NOS. It is a long 1/2 flex head on sale for $ 160. It says USA on it and I asked him if was a rebranded Gearwrench and he said no, it was a true Matco. Hopefully they are producing them again.

    E-Z Red vs Gearwrench ratchet

More curious than anything, our SO dealer handles the EZ and our auto parts store has GW. They both seem like decent ratchets for the money, just wondering if one holds up better than the other or both about the same.

Got my Milwaukee 18v Fuel 3/8 drive impact today, my review

To start off, my 1 1/2 yr old 20v Dewalt 3/8 impact is not even in the same class as the Milwaukee, no where even close to the power the Fuel has. This is more between the new Snap on 18 volt impact and the Fuel. Test #1 The test between a 3 month old S/O with a fully charged 4 amp battery and...

Dewalt 3/8 impact died, Hello Milwaukee

Awhile back I was wondering when Dewalt was going to come out with a brushless 3/8 impact. I had/have a 20 volt brushed one but disappointed with its power shortly after I bought it and swore I wouldn't buy another till they had a brushless version. Well, the anvil hammer broke on my Dewalt...

I now hate every wrench I own

I am always reading about the Wright wrenches on here but never had the chance to hold one in person till today. I have to say wow, I honestly think they are the nicest feeling wrenches I have ever used, I would love some but I have too many wrenches already, unless someone would like to make...

When is dewalt going to make a brushless 3/8 impact

I have been waiting for one of them for quite a a while now. They came out with the brushless 1/4 inch impact right away and the 3/8 doesn't seem a lot different besides the anvil. I have the brushed one from Dewalt but the Milwaukee Fuel version blows it out of the water for power. I work with...

    Socket organizers

What is everyone using for organizers? I need to start over as my home made rack doesn't fit all my sockets anymore. How are you liking the twist lock trays? They sound like a pain vs the detent ball type but I have never used one personally. Just wondering what I should try next, the Hanson...

    Finally chose a tool box

Thanks for all the advice earlier about my tool box choice options. I ruled out the medium duty ones because I don't want to do its again in 10 years, so really the choice came between the Extreme professional with the 30 inch drawers and the Matco 5s with 28 inch drawers. I was flip flopping...

Master force , HF, Xtreme, box ?

Need a new tool box for work, it gets used a lot every day and I was wondering if the Master force, HF, Extreme, Montezuma boxes would last very long. Right now I have an old Snap On and I am just about ready to pull the trigger on a new Matco 5s 56 inch two bank but still wondering how long...
