Found this in the wall of my northern New York 1850s house while renovating. The stamp is hard to read, but it says: GRISWOLDVILLE MG CO CAST STEEL WARRANTED. I think it is from the early to mid 1800s. If anyone out there has any information, I would greatly appreciate it.
