Pulled a Devilbiss 432 pump off a tank that was rotted out/leaking. It's been installed in a friend's shop for decades, recently (past 6 months) it started making a terrible clanking/rattling sounds when it would stop/slow down after hitting 175 PSI. Sounded at first to me like internal damage...
