    Spanner Wrench Sizing?

I work in heavy equipment and frequently have to rebuild accumulators that have pin holes on the cap ends. I was wondering how to find what size of 2 pin spanner ( pictured below, not a combination spanner for you guys across the pond) I need to remove the cap ends? I'm unsure how to size...

    Socket Organizers

I have been looking for socket organizer trays with posts, and have not found anything in 1/2" drive that goes from 3/8" up to 1-1/2" in socket size and it's driving me nuts! Everything I see either goes 1-1/8" or 1-1/4" and no bigger. Any suggestions? Don't wanna leave them sideways in my box...

    ISO: Armstrong Sockets

I need a few hard to find sockets to finish a set, both are 1/2" drive deep 12 pt. I'm looking for a 1-3/8", and a 1-7/16", preferably both laser etched and stamped. Also looking for a reasonably priced PROTO, Armstrong, Snap-On, Mac, or Cornwell 1/2" drive 6 pt and 12 pt 3/8" through 1-1/2"...

    Box end/combo identification help?

Dad's friend brought over this combo wrench with a regular box end, and a weird hex end. Was wondering if anyone knew what the hex head end would be for? It measures 1-3/8" on that end, didn't measure the box end. No markings at all on it

    Vintage Craftsman Toolbox restoration questions

I've had the top box in my shop for about 6 years or so and happened upon a matching (sort of) bottom box the other day. Both are a little rusty, and the bottom box is really beat up with dents all over, a spot with either soldering or a mig weld on it, and some of the drawers open/close at an...

    ASD, FD+, WRIGHTGRIP questions?

I'm looking into getting a few reversible ratcheting wrenches and was wondering if there are any with a FD+ style open end? Preferably US made. I haven't looked too hard yet, but just searching ASD Ratcheting Wrenches with Proto seemed sort of inconclusive. I don't NEED the ASD but I figure...

    88 Tooth Ratchet Repair help?

Happened upon a Matco USA 88 tooth ratchet today and picked it up cheap. Selector kinda gets jammed when trying to switch directions unless I pull the anvil down while I'm switching? Was wondering if anyone knew where I could get a repair kit? Matco website says they have them in stock but when...

    Large Plomb wrench

Curious about this wrench. I have it dated as WWII but was wondering if there's a more precise date range? I also know some of these era Plomb tools are cadmium plated but I can't tell if this is or not? Thanks for looking

    Need help identifying tools

Cross posted this in old tools as well: Need help identifying the use of these tools. First we believe is some kind of puller. Wings (keys? wedges?) and center pin extend out as the bolt is tightened into the threading on the hex body. We think the other tool may be for bending small pieces...

    3/4" drive impact gun

I was wondering what the strongest one I could get was? I was left an old 3/4" air gun that only gives out 900 ft lbs by my grandfather when he passed along with a set of the sockets, and another deep set I picked up cheap. I already have the M18 1/2" impact from Milwaukee with 1400 breakaway...

    3/4" Extendable Ratchet USA?

I'm currently going to school to get certified as a heavy diesel mechanic, and while I've got a bunch of tools I've bought or had given to me over the years, I'm trying to find a good 3/4" ratchet. I'm a bit of a tool snob, so I really only buy stuff stamped USA but I was wondering if anyone...
