Hello all, I am first time garage owner at the age of 25. Up until a year ago I lived at home, but about this time last year I bouht my first home, and along with that came me being able to realize my dream of my garage and not kicking my mom out of her spot in the garage to work on my truck...

I just added some 1.5" thick foam boards to my garage door for some insulation value, and I guess that was enough weight to affect the door. So it takes several tries to get the garage door open but it does finally go. It lifts about a foot off the ground and then just stops dead in its tracks...
