Question regarding cracks in new drywall

Live in NEO. Just finished the inside of the garage this past July. 1/2" on walls, 5/8" on ceiling. Early October noticed a crack in the finished ceiling, from front to back of garage, 23'. Yesterday noticed a crack in the back wall, from top to bottom. Both cracks straight as an arrow and...

    Gladiator stuff...

Is it worth it? The stuff is so damned expensive, I know it is not junk but it isn't anything special either (in terms of materials and workmanship). I mean credit their marketing team I suppose b/c they seem to live off the whole diamond plate look. IMO every single piece they have is 25-30%...

    Mechanics tool sets

Is it worth buying them as a set, IE: at Sears, or is it better to piece together only getting the individual tools you need? I've got a decent amount of 3/8 & 1/2 inch drive sockets & ratchets but have always found 50% of the sizes in sets (including allen wrenches) go rarely used. Seems...

Best tool to cut large diameter circles

Looking to cut 6" diameter holes (or larger) in wood (.5" to .75" thick), what is the best tool for the job? I have a 6" hole saw but it is not a blade specifically for wood so it takes a long time to cut with. Roto Zip or Dremel type tools best for such a cut?

    New from NEO

Northeast Ohio. Didn't see this forum until now, already created a thread in the general discussion looking for advice (think I might have been screwed on a pad pour). If the garage ends up getting built I hope to learn some great tips from this place.

Rookie in need of advice, anchor bolts.

Hi, new to the forum, also about to be a new owner of a garage. Pad is complete, however with one (hopefully) minor problem. However bear with me as I am fairly ignorant to some of the details and jargon in the construction world. The concrete guy did not install the L bolts during the pour...
