you can buy 4' fixtures with a pull chain already on them at home depot then you only have to run a line to each one and put in an outlet where you want your lights

I had flourescent lights in my shop when I started out but it didn't take me very long to get rid of them. (couldn't stand the slow start time and the flickering in cold weather) I put in more light fixtures and 200 watt bulbs works great I can see no matter where I'm looking in the shop.
