Buy the Brannick or the strut tamer 2 extreme. Either one would be the best. They both work extremely well. Choose your price. I think that the strut tamer is a little more beginner friendly, but the Brannick is very good. Don't waste time or money on the cheap tool.

I encounter the same issue with no metal to put the magnet on or nothing to hook on to.

I would also recommend the gearwrench set. Otherwise look at the other options snap on, vim and others. The magnetic ones are great for the deep ones.

My mac guy got permission to come to our shop. Great dealer with awesome deals. They seem to be adding more dealers. Just call mac corporate and ask for a dealer close to you.

We work on explores everyday and fight with the bearings was tough until we got the hub shocker, tool looks like the ATD one. Works great. If it won't do it use a hub grappler but thats a big expense but works. I just want to add my opinion.

You can get expert at a good price from mac and they will work well. I've found most of my truck brand sockets at the pawn shops for 1/2 price or less. matco ADV are very reasonable also.

I have the older 7150 and it has been great. Milwaukee is a great tool and a lot of other things to offer. But Ingersoll is geared for the automotive industry not for the home user with things that are not used in the automotive shop. They are all great choices it's just what your preference is.

From reading this you are being pulled in multiple directions. If your out of space you need to look at a much larger box. Minimum 72" wide and 30" deep. It would be well worth getting a Mac Maximizer 7530 or their 8827 box. Other wise look for a large 6s or an epic 68 or 84. You will...
