I got 2 at the parking lot sale that were in the 'scratch and dent' pile but hardly noticeable damage. They were asking $125 each and I got the pair for $225.

No coupon but a heads-up. I took a picture of an Inside Track coupon code and used it at the store. Sales clerk took the number off my camera screen and didn't ask if I was a member. Thank you very much! Also, my local Kmart had Craftsman 10 pc, 1/2" drive, deep well impact socket sets on the...

Plywood wall skim-coated with drywall mud?h?

Retired wood butcher here........ Drywall mud works fine on plywood. At least the stuff I installed in my house 20 years ago is still working. You can use drywall tape on the seams and finish it like sheetrock (textured, smooth or whatever turns your nut)

    watch your stuff!!!

I collect old gas station pumps and have some outside in plain view. Middle of the night, I hear a bang, and go to see a pickup w/trailer leaving my driveway with a visible gas pump. I jump in my Blazer and the chase is on, out through the back roads that I know very well. I follow them close...

Refrigerators and Upright freezers for storage

I've stored beer in my fridge for decades. Works great. A working one also provides good storage for keeping welding rod dry.

    Two Story Garage?

I built a house for a customer a few yeas ago. Steep hillside. 14' crawlspace below the garage. We used glue-lam beams 6' o.c. and the flooring was solid 2X6 standing on edge. After completion, the owner had a hardwood floor company finish the rough floor. It looked very nice.

    Celling insulation issues, ventilation...

The ideal situation would have been to cantilever the rafters out past the wall creating a soffit. But since the front is already completed, I'd make a triangle shaped soffit using drywall or plywood. The area on the ceiling behind the soffit would be left open with no covering on the ceiling...

    Celling insulation issues, ventilation...

You need to ventilate each cavity between each rafter if it's getting a finished ceiling. I'd use a 1-1/2" speed bore drill bit and put 3 holes in each cavity near the top. The insulation needs to be held to the bottom of the rafter so there's an air gap at the top between the insulation and the...

    Open Air/Exterior Garage?

When i lived in the SoCal desert 3/4 of my garage consisted of 90% shade cloth but it rained about 8" per year. Now that I'm in Oregon I have a 2 car garage with a 2 car carport in front of it. The outdoor portion is a good workplace in the summer but I move inside during the winter,
