Snap-on KR-1000a tool box followed me home yesterday

That is a fine box. I can top that. On Saturday I was offered a 60's or 70' SO top box 26inch or so, six drawer, top row of drawers all came out together. All of a piece but needed a proper fettle. Stamped on the back couldn't fully make it all out. Plus an equally scruffy Britool E74/40T...

Dewalt customer service. I get better help from the cat.

I bought a 36" roll cab from a large company, Halfords. Not in the same league as tool brands but ok for me. The drawer runners on this came apart, this thing has a guarantee of anything between 3 years and life. Phoned customer services for replacement runners, operative didn't understand...

    The Sidchrome thread

    Making the battery Makita won't.

Just watched, could be holding a miniature death star in our hands. The fake LXT has 6x 3.7v cells, may start by replacing those with branded. Recently bought Makita and Hikoki genuine batteries £65 and £60 for 5ah.

    Making the battery Makita won't.

This is interesting. Do not dabble with electricity at all myself but youngest son could take this on. I bought a fake battery to fit my LXT tools, 5ah for £25. It's pants, and lasts minutes in drill or hedge trimmer. Case is ok though and it is just unscrewed to get inside. May look into this.

    Surprise????

Has to be an 'educational' video on how to access that lock with two paper clips. Would have been in there quick smart, I would. Edit. I don't like surprises. Especially when I don't expect them.

From #81,211 Knew I had a coupler drive square and found it today. Was a 9/32" , somebody or somehow one end has been reduced (none of my doing). Fits ok one end, a bit wobbly t'other. Sat in the torque wrench and a NOS Tipco extension from the 50's with military broad arrow. Quite a result I...

Brilliant, thanks for that. Had a V8 510 on a forging manipulator back in the steelworks days. Sounded well on start up, then you couldn't hear a thing what with the forging process.

What Tool Is The Bane of your existence? I'll go 1st

Don't get me started on that subject. They are called chips not fries, chips. Another British invention. You lot had the spuds (potatoes) we showed the world what to do with them. Some of the forrins even put mayonnaise on 'em. Wrong. Salt and vinegar served up in newspaper. That is all.
