    Home Lift Suggestions

Lucky for me, I have been installing Whip lifts for ten years, and all of my clients have eluded death as well! It is the ONLY UL certified lift in the country. They are manufactured in the USA. And they only cost 400 dollars more than a Chinese Bendpak. What's not to like? Big Brian

Made In China sticker on my new Bendpak lift

Yeah, the arms are lighter than they used to be and are no longer tube steel. They now use a three sided top piece with a flat plate welded onto the bottom. The carriage is the part that carries the arms up and down.

Made In China sticker on my new Bendpak lift

I can tell you that we noticed the change in arm design/quality two years ago this July and that the carriages now have a big "H" stamped into the back....I wonder what that stands for?

    Car placement on a lift

The rule of thumb is that the center of gravity on front wheel drive cars is the dashboard since the entire drivetrain resides in front of the windshield. Rear wheel drive cars, the center of gravity is where the drivers **** sits in the seat. Of course common sense applies on trucks, vans and...

    Living with an in-ground lift?

You may also consider the Challenger cassette lift as it has a wider drive through. And consider that when you flush mount your lift you have to raise it first to position the arms under the car, as well as you have just lowered the lifting height of your lift! Brian

Not True! The lift in the picture is Chinese Made. The factory in Joshua has been occupied by Whip Industries for the last couple of years. Eagle doesn't have a factory, they have a Port.......... Brian

Rotary Lift SP84 bleeding / Maintenance

Raise the lift until just before the first lock Loosen the screw on top of the Idler side cylinder until you hear air hissing out. The carriage will start dropping until the oil starts coming out. Repeat for the motor side, and then put a car on your lift!:)

Let's see......call me a name and then leave. Does this mean I win?:bounce: My whole goal here is to save one person from running out with their Mastercard to buy a 1400 dollar lift, and then end up diasppointed with it. Next week I have to service two lifts that won't come down to the ground...

FYI....you need STATISTICS on ALL the lifts you want to praise AND bash to compare scientifically and back up claims." You mean I need facts and statistics to repeat the opinion of someone who owns the lift? NO, BUT YOU DO NEED THEM TO MAKE CLAIMS. YOU ARE JUST STATING HEARSAY AND ANECDOTES...

Actually, if I were going to buy a non certified lift, that would be the one to choose. But only for a home garage! I have seen several automotive shops that have worn them out prematurely. Brian

Just to clear up some misinformation........ You can't compare Bendpak to Greg Smith. Bendpak had their lift tested to certification standards, Greg Smith didn't. I have had lots of people admit to me what a piece of **** they bought from Smitty, but overall everyone has been happy with their...

    Need Input-Choosing Lift

Try removing the down valve handle and then the down valve , and you will usually find debris on the screen. Clean the debris from the screen and whatever you can get out of the port and reassemble. This is something we run into on foreign made cylinders. If that doesn't help, then it maybe...
