    Anyone lift/re-level a shed?

Your plan sounds good. Don't lift too much at once on any one side or corner and just use your cribbing to hold the shed while you repair your base. We raised and moved a shed on a 6 12' lengths of 4" pvc pipe. Just rolled it along Egyptian style. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk

    Dead cat farm

Re: Repurposing several farm buildings Ah New England, your stuff is so much older and has more character than most of what you see out here in the 'ole west'. We moved into a small farm with 4 outbuildings a year ago and none of them have some of the features of yours despite the similarities...

    How about a bicycle trailer?

How did you set up your axle to avoid deflection of your wheels under load? On burley and even some of the Bob trailers there is a typical quick release style wheel mount so the wheel's axle is supported on both sides. With the minimal clearance around your wheels I'd be afraid it would bind...

    44 Bikes Frame Shop

Have fun at the show. I went last year when it was in Denver. Some fantastic workmanship from many of the smaller fabricators and backyard builders. Hopefully you're planning on going with some of your rides in tow, they'd fit right in there. cheers

    shed into work shop

"cause now I dont know where to put the box" Could you get some thin sheet and fab out a new top? Or you could get some butcher block and make a top for it out of wood and mount it on a stand as another work surface? Possibly under-mount it to another bench or in a larger cabinet? You...

    Tuffshed Converted.

After the first two pics I thought. "Hey, I have a Tuff Shed just like this." By the end I was thinking..."I'm not worthy. I'm not worthy!" That's a badass place. You should send Tuff Shed some pics they might use your space in ads or something. It makes me rethink my little red shed I...

    Suburban Neo-Vintage 3 Car Garage

Neo-Vintage is right. You've really orchestrated a masterpiece here with the signs, vintage paint on the cabinets, tin wainscot and plenty of open workspaces. All the individual touches add to the whole effect. Really well done. :rocker: On the other hand really, really disappointed with the...

    My little 2 car garage

Is your baseboard stainless as well or some kind of flashing? That'd look good if you wrapped a platform as well. I'm not sure how you'd protect it from staining and rust, but it would be pretty slick.

    My little 2 car garage

How deep is the ledge? Looks like its about bench-width. It might cut out the height you might get from shelving or cabinets (unless you're really tall) but then again it saves you from worrying about getting things off the ground. You're floor and paint came out really nice. Good looking so far.

    25x28 Detached Garage

Really nice build. Your use of lighting, both interior and exterior, is pretty classy. The effect of those bulkhead lights will be more impressive with your cabinets in there. I'll definitely be interested to see how you bring everything together. Great work!

Need help mounting in metal shop

Sorry I read the title of this thread and the only thought I had was that "mounting in the metal shop" is a very odd ****** position. Yes, definitely go with the clamp...or something...back to adulthood I go.

    A bending table?

I think HAY YOU's suggestion is a pretty good one. I whipped up a pretty quick jig by welding some 4" sections of different diameter pipe to a pretty hefty piece of steel plate. I then clamped the plate to my welding table. I used it to bend quarter inch rod and flat strapping. If I left the...

    Barn Dilemma

Thanks for all the feedback. It certainly is a shed but it seems constructed along the same lines as a pole barn. So given that I assumed it might be capable of more than weather protection. I don't know how deep the poles were set and they certainly weren't set with a lot of precision...

    Barn Dilemma

Hello everyone. I'd describe myself largely as a long time lurker on the GJ. I really appreciate the expertise and insight of the folks here on the board. I'm hoping to be able to leverage the collective wisdom of the forum here to resolve a dilemma that I have with my barn. Here is a little...

    Between 485 & 705 SQ/FT BJ383SS's Woodshop/Garage

I love the models. Your drawers and drawer fronts turned out really nice as well. There's something about the attention to detail in cabinetry and work bench design of a woodworker's shop that is enviable. Mine on the other hand is a lot of on-hand plywood covered in metal dust! Nice shop.

    36 x 48 Garage Makeover

This a great space. I'm curious how you lifted the beam into place. It looks like it sits up against the ceiling which didn't appear patched or otherwise effected from the install. I'm in the Denver area myself did you source the beam from a Denver company?
