Saw Camden is in the path of the rain. Stay safe out there Lyndon.

That is ****** good news Lyndon. Always good to hear they've removed the dodgy bits and left the good stuff intact. I still much prefer Bob's way of spending birthdays over Lyndon's!

Happy birthday Bob! I think you have at least deserved a new Dremel for your birthday present. Glad to see I'm not the only one who has a perfectly good new one and still try and make the old one work just a little while longer.

    The South Pacific tin shed

Hi Hewey. Thanks for the well wishes. I'm slightly more than OK. Starting to feel a little warmer now and longer daylight hours may improve my chances of shed time too. Might even have something worth posting about again.

Hi guys, thanks for the well wishes. I do appreciate it! It is a long (somewhat boring) story I need time to write. Lately I'm working 10 hour days and spending my remaining time catching the kids up on their school work as we've been back in lockdown for the last few weeks. Otherwise fit and...

Happy birthday Lyndon! Hope the procedure and recovery is swift and well medicated.

Just catching up after a long time away and reading your latest life chronicles. I am truely glad for you Lyndon! I hope the surgery and recovery goes just as well. That you can now retire in peace from this darn disease and spend time doing the things your like instead! Keep well, safe and...

Sorry to hear about Sherlock, Lyndon. Never easy losing a family member. I do like those Indian Minah traps. Would love to deal to them here as well. Though they seem to strike a balance between the introduced pigeons and sparrows. Besides the seagulls do a better job of controlling them than...

    The South Pacific tin shed

Hi Drives, thanks for the offer. The kayak owner has a paddleski which has a bit of a deeper cross section so might need a deeper stirrup type holder unless he wants to rooftop it upside down. We'll see. Since we are in lockdown this week I'm sure there is no rush yet. Autumn is just a few weeks...

    The South Pacific tin shed

Thanks Drives! NZ has so much to offer and explore still. Just found a waterfall during my bike ride on Sunday that I never knew existed. Just a shame times are so chaotic right now to try and plan or book anything. I read about that accident on your thread. That aluminium trailer looked...

    The South Pacific tin shed

Hi Drives! Making the best of the last few weeks of summer. Though the seasons here seem to be a little later each year and will likely enjoy mild warm weather until April. We also celebrated our wedding anniversary prior to my wife's birthday last weekend. She had booked a weekend stay last...

Hi Bob! Pretty much sum up my life at the moment. Between work, family and general chores it seems like very little else of interest going on here. Here I am living vicariously through your thread... :rocker: I still have my dad's slide rule and pantograph somewhere. He later carried a TI...

Wrench came out very nice Lyndon and probably still better than any you could buy these days. Bunnings here does some paint and rust strip disc that looks like scotchbrite on steroids. But the wire wheels and disc are super handy. I have just replaced the twisted wire cup for my grinder. Good to...

Andy you old brass devil! Happy to see you casting again. Brake cover came out very well. Looks like a thin casting and those brass caps are so pretty! The transmission hump cover came out a treat too. Love the sheetmetal work. Little hot tuck shrink work at the top? Chevy is coming along nicely.

Thanks Khevin. I actually have a small camera again so will try do some more now I don't have to worry about damaging my phone in the workshop.

Thanks TwoBytes. They photograph well... my finish still has a lot of work to do. Belt grinder burnished finish hides a lot of sins in stainless. Besides I plan to get it all scratched up by using it which is always a sign of a good tool. GarageJournal always seem to have that affect on people...
