Correct tool is an engine support bar. I pulled the transmission from our traverse and use an engine hoist and a jack stand under the oil pan as it drifted down over night. It was in the way so I used a 4x4 and ratchet straps and that worked great. Hopefully the only fwd vehicle I have to use it on.

Most auto parts stores carry a dorman brand metric nut and bolt kit. That probably takes care of 75% of my metric needs. I tend to also keep the extra fasters from parts I replace or pull from the junkyard. I also keep a few cords I cut off old appliances when they get tossed

I mess with different stuff and use HF torque wrenchs. I prefer the click style but torque angle is used a lot so I would recommend digital with built in torque angle. I know the torque speck for lug it's on our traverse is 149ft lb so I would recommend the bigger 1/2in wrench
