Lets make an all vintage Snap-on tool picture thread!

I have to agree with you. It's about 130 miles from me. I would buy it if the price was right. I have cash for something like that, but not $3K. I don't think I have anything that he would accept in trade. Just a couple of K61/KR300 stacks and a Remline stack.

I just saw this the other day on facebook marketplace. It's in Springfield, IL. He was asking $3000, but now asking for a trade.

    Snap On Rolla Bench Saturday

These are my first Snap-On boxes. I picked up all four of these within the past 10 months. I picked up the early 50s K61 for $40, as it was coated with black paint. I took a chance that I could remove the black paint and preserve what was left of the original red. So far so good. Just need to...

Lets make an all vintage Snap-on tool picture thread!

I got this early 1950s K61 in February for $40. I've been slowly removing the black paint. Now I just need to buy a lock and work on the drawers. I'm thinking about removing the handles. Anyone have a good source for the rivets? I tried McMaster-Carr and Grainger. I found some that were *almost*...

The VINTAGE toolboxes of Garage Journal!

Finally snagged a late 40s early 50s KR-300 with extra drawers. The stamp doesn't appear to be in the usual place. Could be that it was lightly stamped. I waited a week, and the price dropped quite a bit. Hard to pass up, even if the paint is in rough condition. Lots of grease stains, but the...

Finally snagged a late 40s early 50s KR-300 with extra drawers. The stamp doesn't appear to be in the usual place. Could be that it was lightly stamped. Lots of grease stains, but the paint brightens up with bronze wool and light oil. A couple of the drawers a stiff, and I don't yet know if it...

The VINTAGE toolboxes of Garage Journal!

I missed out on this one back in October due to work, and I've been kicking myself ever since. It was located in northern Indiana. I found a later one (1956), but I prefer the older badges and the KR431 drawer add-on. Anyone here grab this one? If so, send me a message when you get ready to...

    Let's See Your Garage Dog

We adopted Chewy about four years ago. He had a rough life before we go him, so we let him do pretty much whatever he wants.

I saw the same listing. Not too far from me, but I don't think I would pay the price.

The VINTAGE toolboxes of Garage Journal!

Speaking of Rem Line, I picked up this top box and mid box over the summer. Had the bottom box for a long time now. I couldn't find a mid box with the old logo to match the others. All the examples near me were in really bad shape. This is works for now. I was holding out for the 10 drawer...

The VINTAGE toolboxes of Garage Journal!

Been a while since I posted anything. On Sunday I drove 8 hours round trip to pick up this KR300. They don't come up too often where I am so I jumped on it. Paid $250, and I consider that a fair price. The K61 I picked up about a month ago. Might have paid $200. I don't remember. The exterior...

    Industrial Metal Desks

This is my Hamilton drafting desk. It's a beast, and I don't really need it. Gonna sell it.

    Industrial Metal Desks

I have the same desk. It's pretty damn heavy. 300 pounds? More? Tough to say. I think mine was made in 1944. I don't have any of the drafting tools though. We're getting ready to move in a month, so today I disassembled it. I'll post pics after I'm moved and it's reassembled.

    Atlas drill press

I've got that model. Paid $100 for it and put another $75 into it for missing parts. My opinion is: Not worth $250 to me. Opinions aside: How bad do you want it? Would you miss the $250 more than you would miss the sale?

Metal Cabinets vintage or homemade and no name toolboxes. got any to show please do

hemifalcon - Nice stuff. I've been after a Craftsman heritage cabinet for a few years. Elusive. I've only seen one near me and it was covered in drippy red paint. The guy wanted $200. Haven't seen one since, so maybe I should have gone for it.

    Show off your desk

Desk is a Weis from 1910 or so. A local find. I would like to find the matching file cabinet for a reasonable price. They list for a lot, usually. Chair is from the same era, but don't know who made it. Green lamp is Fostoria. Fun fact, I made the wastepaper basket and my wife painted the...
