    My Craigslist Finds SnapOn/Matco

Are you in school? Matco has a killer offer for a 56x41x22 box (Black only) for like $1,500.00 right now for students.

    snap-on screwdrivers?

You make a good observation, but this was literally posted yesterday.

    Top 10 HF tools

I like the extensions I got from them. You can throw down 50 bucks and get every extension 1/4 3/8 1/2 in impact and chrome including several wobbles and so far they are pretty solid. I bought over 25 extensions for that 50 bucks. I also really like the cheap socket rail 3-packs if you are...

    Screwdriver Set

I like the square handle ones much better. They are easier to clean, they are more compact for tight spaces... I just all around like them better. I can't seem to find any truck brands that still have them, but I did find this SK set that looks pretty nice...

    Screwdriver Set

Why do all screwdrivers these days have these giant disco handles? What ever happened to the good old square handle models?

Oh man, that box is sweet. I would be all over that thing if it were in my area.

    What's a snap on classic 96 kra2418 worth?

Daaamn... That thing is slick. Nice find! I like the orange a lot. The slides should be easy to remove. Good advise to take all the drawers out and clean/lube the slides. It looks really straight and well taken care of. If there are any knicks or scratches you want to go away, hit up Snapon...

    Tools for my truck?

I'll add another vote for duralast. They are made in taiwan and are of pretty decent quality. They make a Snapon clone ratchet that is quite comfortable and durable. That and the price is right.

    Flank drive or box end?

If you are asking whether or not to bother with the flank drive (plus) open end wrenches or not, I would definitely bother. Box end always gives you more purchase, but as stated above you don't always have that option and in that case, Flank drive is an excellent addition to the open end. I...

Mac 87 inch box vs Cornwell 67 inch box

One thing about the Mac is that the adjustable detent system is very, very comfortable. I have worked out of a Snap On on one end of the shop and a Mac on the other and even after years of using them I still get annoyed with the slide locks. I have always liked the grab and go of the Mac.

Got the new Matco 3/8 cordless ratchet, quick review inside

I have been mulling over picking up the 1/4 drive version of this... my price on it right now is around $200. I guess I just worry that it wouldn't hold up to punishment as well as the air ratchets do.

    What's a snap on classic 96 kra2418 worth?

Yeah my 56" Matco weights nearly 600 lbs empty... grab a 12 pack, call a few buddies over to help, and enjoy that new box! Edit: Show us some pix when you get it home safe.

    What's a snap on classic 96 kra2418 worth?

Sounds like he really wants to sell it. If its in good condition, $2000 is a steal all day... but it sounds like he'd take $1700 if you showed him the money. If you can pull that, condition doesn't even matter... you could flip it for a $500 profit easy. Edit: assuming its not all jacked up of...

Mac 87 inch box vs Cornwell 67 inch box

Both companies make a really nice tool box. Buy the one that gives you the most bang for the buck including space, layout and looks. Ultimately, you have to like working out of it.

    which impact wrench? your opinions

I would have gone IR. Their stuff is so good. Pretty much all of the top companies rebrand their products these days... it just doesn't get much better. It amazes me that any company can even compete anymore when they have a deal at Lowes for a IR 1/2 impact gun, 3/8 air ratchet and impact...

Anyone looking for a Snap-on box with tools?

I will be a millionaire several time over before I ever bother owning $75,000 worth of tools. Anyone who owns this much should not need to sell it... ever. What a waste.

Advice for student in diesel tech

For a student, Matco is a really good way to go. They give you student pricing on the whole catalog right online. The discount ends up right around 50% with air tools and hand tools combined and they have a LOT of stuff. I would definitely recommend putting together a custom set as opposed to...
