15 years ago I could go to the flea market and always come away with a handful of Plomb tools. Then about 10 years ago it seemed like it just dried up and I usually don't find any or maybe 1. I was pleasantly surprised at the mid week flea market here this week when I found this 5283 PLOMB...

The trick to taking them apart is to take the drawers out, turn them upside down and just start taking fasteners apart. I took one apart to get it down to manageable size to carry up to attic office and reassemble.

Yes it is definitely "Dart Flu". I have never been particularly interested in Duro-Chrome but I am a sucker for any wrench with an art-deco flair. Those :bowdown:Dart style wrenches certainly fill the fill. Will be on the lookout! V8

We are currently going through my fathers estate and all the Asian tools (Japan, China, Taiwan, India Etc). are going into 5 gallon buckets for an estate sale. I am keeping all the Proto, Plomb for myself and my brothers can split up the rest of the USA tools. V/8

T12 Flourescent tubes will no longer be manufactured after July 2013. T8 and T5 bulbs will replace them. If you want to keep your same fixture your ballast may need to be replaced with a compatible one depending on the application. V/8

I would be more concerned about furniture storage encroaching on my garage space. Looks like your "garage" has degenerated into "storage building". V/8

A ceiling box is not required. Run conduit to the lights and the wiring is done in the body of the light fixture. The fixture itself serves as the "box". V/8

Just because it is that way in NJ doesn't mean it is that way "in almost every locale in the US". I will agree that in most cities in the US it is that way but not in the rural unincorporated areas.

I always just considered them Mexican Proto due to their history. See some of them at the flea markets now and them. Seem to be good quality. I wish Proto had stores like that in the U.S. V/8

Here is a link to a discussion on an engineering site about garage floor slope. Interesting reading. If you will notice they mention several times " garage for parking automobiles". If you are building a garage solely for the purpose of "parking automobiles" I would say slope it 1/16" per foot...

Are you saying that the building codes in your area specifically prohibit roller doors? Also if the builder won't work with you get another builder. V/8
