    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

My Christmas Presents to myself were all red. Started buying myself the 7 1/2" Fuel circular saw with the 9.0 + charger. Then a week later my table saw blew the plastic angle lock (cheap old Ryobi that was submerged in a flood so was on borrowed time anyway) so I bought a new table saw and the...

    Help me pick a drill

Milwaukee M12 or M18 hands down. Best 12 or 18 volt system and better than B&D, err, I mean DeWalt any day. Depending on what other tools he may want to add their selection can't be beat. With a 5 year warranty you can't go wrong with Milwaukee.

Anyone have more than one brand of Cordless Tools?

I don't know I'd compare the one key to the regular old Hilti.... This seems like a better comparison to the Hilti kit: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-M18-FUEL-18-Volt-Lithium-Ion-Cordless-Brushless-Hammer-Drill-Impact-Driver-Combo-Kit-2897-22/206211756 We all have to use what works...

Anyone have more than one brand of Cordless Tools?

I've got 4 systems - C3 Craftsman, 12v Hitachi, M12, and M18. All are getting converted to M12/M18 as tools or batteries die.

    Car/Truck Cell Phone Holders

I use an iOttie mount - not cheap (IIRC about $30) but the suction thingy has held to the textured dash in my F150 for 2 years now without fail - heat or cold. It's spring loaded so you just pop your phone in there and the clamps grip it tightly.

    Best batter booster'jumper pack?

Can you pop it open and just replace the battery? We have an old battery + compressor combo and I've replace the battery twice on it as we like it so much.

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

I don't know who I hate more - Home Depot or Milwaukee. Added the 7 1/2 Fuel saw kit with 9AH batteries and the M18 Fuel Miter saw with 2 9.0's this week. Both are awesome and the miter saw is incredibly impressive - much better than the Ryobi 10" it replaced. So o far, my addiction is...

M18 Rapid Charger Making Noise with 9.0

I figured it was normal coil or transformer whine but it's quite loud and my other chargers are dead silent. Seems to only happen when running the 9.0 battery so it makes sense that the increased demands from that would produce the noise.

M18 Rapid Charger Making Noise with 9.0

I just got the Fuel circular saw/9.0 starter kit combo. I was charging up the 9.0 and noticed the charger was buzzing too. Did you ever get an answer from Milwaukee?

    Yetti Coolers?

Couldn't you use ice in the compressor coolers too? Seems like it would be the best of both worlds in that case. You could use ATV power to and from your destination to keep the ice frozen and then let it naturally defrost when you get there just like now. I don't have either but having...

    Yetti Coolers?

Do ATVs have charging systems or cigarette lighters? (I don't know so not being a smart ***.). Should be easily able to run that compressor cooler off that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Milwaukee battery comparison

That's assuming that the 2.0/4.0/5.0 use the same Redlink circuit. Which they don't. They are calibrated to the battery capacity. So, say the 2.0 will be limited to 4A discharge, the 4 to 8A discharge, and the 5 to 10A. I'm not sure if those are the numbers but the circuitry needs to be...

    Milwaukee battery comparison

Yes, you will get more power with the higher AH batteries. Why? Voltage Sag! A battery can only put out so much juice, called the C rate, which is the Capacity. Say you have a 2AH battery. It will put out 2A for 1 hour, which is called 1C. If you want 4A, you get 30 mins, that is 2C, etc...

Me too. Guess I'll just crank it up to 120 PSI and be done with it then.

Then you may want to take it in for service. That should not be normal with over 100 lb-ft of torque.

Something wrong with my M18 fuel?

Let's bring it back to the OP's question.... What is the torque specs of the bolts in question? Here is the specs of the Fuel impact driver: Specifications M18 FUEL™ 1/4" Hex Impact Driver (2653-22) Volts: 18V Peak Torque: 1600 in-lbs (133 ft-lbs) Max RPM: 0-2900 Max IPM: 0-3600 Tool Length...

    Cordless tool brand preferences

Never was a fan of DeWalt. IMHO it's B&D painted yellow. I'm in the Milwaukee camp now - M12 and M18. They are very, very good tools!

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

Damn you Milwaukee and Home Depot. Went in the other day with a coupon for a beverage fridge and walked out with the fridge + a 2653-22CT M18 Fuel kit. Had to use it the other night and it's a beast. And with the prices of the compact batteries (already have 2 of the XC) it's a no-brainer to...
