I have found the exact same thing with the gold snap-on. I have an old regular Mac torx set that I keep as backup to my gold snap-on and find I use them more then the snap-on. I might have to check these new Mac ones out.

I don’t have a pick of my nanos in action as I am off work with a broken hip. I am coming up two years with both the 1/2 and 3/8 metric and I use them all the time. Perfect for getting in tight spots and I have never had an issue with them. Super pleased with the purchase.

A second battery is not an option in these cases. I know on some of the new w222 S classes, if they don't see a steady 14v and 30 plus amps the module will not program. I don't think I would want to risk a few thousand dollar computer hoping a deep cycle battery would be sufficient.
