I've used mine (Of different sizes) to remove panels in false floors in ship engine compartments and factories, those often have very big, countersunk, slotted head bolts. They're also useful for rotating pumps and a bunch of other jobs.

Did the guard get full of wet saw dust? Is the bearing for the blade shaft clean and lubed, or full of sawdust?

Cutting a cheapo socket was my first thought as well. That is why I have terrible, horrible, cheap tools as well as my good tools. You can modify them and you won't get a sting in your heart doing it.

Can't you fit a lock from something else? Combination lock maybe so you won't even have to worry about lost keys. I've seen many boxes with combination locks. Nice way to never need keys and have the same code for all your boxes.

Your motor could be connected to a 200 amp circuit as long as the voltage matches. The motor only draws the amps it needs, you can't force-feed it amps. But it can get too many volts, then the magic smoke will escape.

I saw a pair of those the other day, looked funny to me but did look factory made. I can't for the life of me remember where I was or what I was doing, but I remember the pliers.

I'm guessing floorjack, not an actual Hi-Lift jack. I was looking at new low profile Bahco jacks the other day, they look and feel nice, but had no pricetag near them. But I can't help but wonder, how many Biltema jacks can you have for the price of one Bahco jack?
