    Sometimes,repeated overtightening,will crack the washer seats,needing a kit that fits in a drill,grinding out the worn part.But turn off the water,get a can of penetrating oil,treat the fittings and wait a while,depending on water deposits,it might take several squirts to break things loose.

    Some Ty-wraps with the screw mounting holes will accept 1/4" fasteners, the black ones seem to last longer than the white ones do.

    Galvanizing is nothing more than a thin plating of Zinc over the base material(Steel?). If it were me,I'd get the Aluminum one.

    Lights dim

    "Back stabbing" is the quick and dirty way of wiring,over time(years?), the connections loosens,if the receptacle looks worn(plugs won't stay in tight),now's the time to replace them. I never use backstabbing, preferring to wrap the wires around the screws on the receptacles.
