    Help with Lighting Install.

There's a lot more to doing this than just throwing up lights. You need to know what else is on the circuit (from the panel breaker) not just the switch. You need to do a load calculation to see if what's on the circuit, plus what you want to add will be supportable and legal. The poster above...

Rustoleum Professional - Last Minute Change of Plans

What does your contract with your builder say? If it says unsealed, then have your builder pay someone to grind it down for you @ his expense.

    What are these for?

Just like a good government setup. Want to try "save" the taxpayers money when they know nothing about what they're doing and could end up "costing" way more than is "saved" when all is said and done. I can pick off a number of code violations in that box.

    Covering garage door opener wiring?

If your contractor was even willing to consider covering the wiring with tape and mud you'd better be looking for a new contractor! If I were talking to your contractor and he were telling me he had a customer suggesting this, I'd be telling him to get a better customer! Run....fast.

Seeking Advice (or Warnings) RE: this Table Saw . . .

Again, the OP stated he would only be using the saw for weekend warrior projects. While the cabinet and unisaws are nice, they are WAY overkill for what is desired. Let's help get this guy into something that's appropriate to his needs.....

need help with ideas for a shed thinking 12' X 14' HELP

PT 2x4 joists spaced 12-16" on center over 2 to 3 4x4's running lengthwise is more than adequate support for a shed frame sitting on the ground or gravel. Using 2x8's is just plain overbuilding it and adding cost. Use 3/4" decking and you'll have no problems holding mowers, power equipment, etc.

Seeking Advice (or Warnings) RE: this Table Saw . . .

I'm a professional contractor. I currently have a Bosch but have owned a Rigid & Craftsman in the past. If you're planning on spending +/- $500, I'd definitely stay away from that craftsman and buy the Bosch or Rigid portables. Way better saw for the same $$$. However, I also agree if you're...

    Surge Protector or Power Strip?

They're both 14 guage cords so you're limited to a max of 15 amp on the circuit. I don't think it matters which one you go with, so use the one that you think will suit you best. However, as was already mentioned, it's best to keep your power tools plugged into as short a cord as possible while...

Which Drill/Impact should I get? Makita v Milwaukee

Sorry, but Bosch is not made in the same place Milwaukee is. Bosch and Dremel are both part of Robert Bosch Corp. Milwaukee, Rigid, and Ryobi are all part of TTI.

Which Drill/Impact should I get? Makita v Milwaukee

I AM a contractor. I have both Milwaukee & Makita. I have most of the tools Milwaukee makes in both the 12 & 18 volt platforms. I have always been a Milwaukee diehard until the last couple of years. Have noticed a real decline in battery & some tool performance. I hardly pick up my...
