Somebody Has to Say It....I don't like SK Round Head Ratchets

The old mechanics at my dads shop had SK's when I was a kid and I always thought the looked great. So keeping that in mind I'm a little biased. That being said truth is that the sk 3770 with a little grease in the inside is smooth like butter and built like a tank. For me the sk3770 is my goto...

This guy... https://www.harryepstein.com/index.php/otter-bone-handle-tachenmesser.html Lost the first one to the TSA, the second one to the desert and the 3rd one is in my pocket right now. for some reason I really love this knife. It's sharp as all get out, and holds an edge and just has a...

    3/8 flex ratchet

This guy is my goto 3/8 ratchet. It's built like a tank and with a little lube I don't notice the tooth count. http://www.harryepstein.com/index.php/ratchets-3-8-drive-26871.html I've got several Dual 80's and they are super nice but for some reason old bent handle SK is my favorite.

    Advice: Locking plier Brand

To follow on to some of the earlier comments in this thread I have a few of the gripon locking pliers and I haven't been super impressed. I feel like they performed for me right at the same-ish level as recent irwins. Pros: They have a lot nicer fit and finish and the release mechanism...

    Right Angle Ratchet Screwdriver Recommendation?

I use the Wadsworth ratchet super deluxe... It's pretty nice and I've used it's been handy a couple of times: http://www.amazon.com/Wadsworth-Ratchet-Super-Deluxe-Tools/dp/B0000WTWZ2 Also I use the heck out of a good ol 1/4" ratchet with a 1/4" hex bit socket, that's usually my go to.

PI split beam 1/2 , 128.97 free ship

I own both the 1/2 and the 3/8 PI torque wrenches I they are great. The only downside and I would imagine this is the case for most torque wrenches is that they are fairly coarse toothed meaning that the swing-arc is pretty far. Not the end of the world but all in all I really like mine and...

    Steel plate for workbench

I built this guy and man it's a beast. Used 1/2" plate for the top and it weighs 3-4 hundred pounds. I've got it on casters but it's more or less stationary and it's solid + easy to clean up when I make a mess.

    Craftsman Pry Bar Set

I have these pry bars and I'm not a pro just a weekend guy but I beat the snot out of them and they work great! They don't have striking caps but bought on sale at <$20 I hit them with a hammer pretty regularly and they manage to hold up fine. I imagine that at some point I may break a handle...

Ever think of giving up the air compressor?

I'm just a weekend warrior but I mainly use electric / cordless tools (Milwaukee fuel is some good stuff). I do have a small compressor for blowing off dust and airing up tires. That being said I do miss not having an an air hammer ( no good electric equiv ) and I sometimes wish I had a blast...
