Fill in driveway pothole with gravel a good temp fix?

Thanks for the great ideas everyone. I waited for the hole to dry, went to the hardware store and bought a dozen bags of pea gravel and sand, filled the hole with a mix of both, compacted with the car, and then topped with a few buckets of Aquafalt cold patch. Surprisingly easy and very happy...

Fill in driveway pothole with gravel a good temp fix?

We have a very old driveway getting replaced next year after a home reno (including garage expansion!). This old pot hole has become unbearable and I’m looking for an easy temporary fix for next year. Around 5 years ago I cut the tree root out from underneath the driveway (tree long gone) and...

Need expert painter advice - I let TSP dry on the walls

Thanks for the advice everyone. I ended up rinsing the walls again this morning and I think I'm in the clear. I sprayed the walls with water and agitated with a sponge. I then went over with a wet towel and rinsed again. The bucket water was light blue each time I emptied it, the color of the...

Need expert painter advice - I let TSP dry on the walls

And spraying it with water and wiping it down with a wet cloth wouldn't have done that? It has to be soaked with TSP again? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You think adding more TSP to the walls will help offset the TSP from before? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Need expert painter advice - I let TSP dry on the walls

This was in my kitchen nook, not my garage, but y'all are so knowable, I am sure someone here will know the answer. Through a combination of my lack of experience with TSP and very inadequate instructions on the box, I let TSP dry on the walls for around 30-60 minutes before rinsing the walls...

Homak 27" Pro Series at Northern

I also have the 42 box and I found it to be substantially better than Sears, HD, and HF. The only cheap boxes I found that were better were the nice Kobalt boxes, but they cost a ton more and weren't that much better. I was able to find a basically brand new Northern Tool top and bottom 42"...

Light switches that do not affect the power flow

Ha!! That would be pretty scary if i spent hours fixing up the switches and it ended up looking like the "before" picture. I'm very happy with the final product. Not showroom perfect, but very utilitarian for the working garage!

Light switches that do not affect the power flow

Thanks for the advice, everyone. I shut the power off and just traced every wire back that I could. Luckily, my garage has exposed rafters, making everything a lot easier. It appears that at one point in time, the two extra switches controlled old, no longer functioning lights in the garage...

Upgrading air compressor plumbing, any advice?

Sorry I am so late to getting pictures up of my setup. Life got in the way of doing fun things in the garage. I will post so preliminary pictures of my setup and how its performing now and then hopefully find the time this month to take better pictures and post them here. The tank is...

Zoro Tools BF and CM Deals

Everything was well packaged and came so quickly. I'm very impressed and will use Zoro again. My only complaint is that things are a bit hard to find on the website. I'm not impressed with the heated jacket so far, but it was almost 70* here last night so not a good day to test.

Man. They ship so quickly! I ordered 2 new brushless M12 Fuel Milwaukee small drills, a Milwaukee heated jacket, some new Proto chisels, and a backup Zilla air hose. Everything arrived in 48 hours. I will post pictures tonight!

Light switches that do not affect the power flow

That is a good point. I have not tried every receptacle in each outlet box. I will try this tonight! Sorry for not getting back sooner - I came down with the flu and didn't have the energy for house projects.

Light switches that do not affect the power flow

The breaker works and every outlet/light that the wires are connected to works, the switches just don't seem to do anything. I have not fully pulled everything out yet. I see wires going into the side of each switch, but it's possible they are old wires and the actual wiring is nutted behind...

Light switches that do not affect the power flow

So I know this is a bit of a basic question, but I am positive someone here can shed some light (ha!) 60 year old garage with original wiring throughout most of it. I have a switch box with three switches. The middle switch clearly turns on and off the majority of the lights in the garage -...

    Puma 60 gallon 3 hp 6060v Compressor at Northern Tool - $400

Yes. Mine was also a bit dinged up. I didn't see the imperfections (scratch and some paint drips) until I unwrapped it at home. I figure it's an air compressor in the back of my garage, so who cares. I love the blue color otherwise. American flag is a nice touch. Sent from my iPhone using...
