i would just pick at it with a fingernail to start. it doesn't look like too much. But what ever works best for you. after you get it off try some spray on car wax. That stuff does wonders for the finish.

Ive worked as a "big stuff" mechanic for over 20 years. I have never seen a 1/2" impact bog down on a 3/8" hose with standard fittings. No matter how many hoses I've chained together. and I've strung many 300-400 feet long. Trying to make a 3/4" impact work on 3/8 hose is a different story...

If you cheap out of getting a proper set you're going to regret it. Sooner or later you will need one of the sizes you skipped. If you build up a mismatched set it will be worthless down the road with zero resale value if you ever decide to sell them. I realize Snapon may be out of your price...

If you're only getting one, than don't waste the opportunity on a specialty ratchet that will spend most of the time sitting in your tool box. Get a high end replacement for your most used ratchet. For me That would be a regular 3/8" ratchet. the included pic is my favorite ratchet. it has...

That is a nice looking table. I have a similar project going on, however i went with the wire wheel and elbow grease method for stripping the paint, which is actually still on going. For the table top i am leaving that bare metal since every shop i have ever been in uses bare metal table tops...

I just picked this up from an old closing down fab shop. It is a really solid bench. 30"x67". The top is only 3/16" but i can always upgrade it later if need be. It has a few coats of chipped up paint I will strip off. i also have a few improvement ideas i would like to implement. Really happy...

I have the Hansen ones. I had to relabel some of the metric sizes. I think a few of those sizes don't exist from any socket manufacturer!

A 3 ton jack will lift your HD (or SD since it's a ford) but they are small and won't lift very high. If you plan on working on lifted 4x4s it probably won't reach. I would recommend a 5 ton for trucks.... If only for the extra size rather than capacity!

I got tired of cursing at my cordless for always being "dead" when I need to do a small job. So I too made the switch to a corded. I got a Milwaukee 3/8". And I couldn't be happier. and as tweedle said, don't worry about a brake.... It's really no big deal!
