    You could also try http://www.usedacwarehouse.com/product-category/used-units-parts/used-compressors-used-units-parts/ I know they sell ac compressors but I have seen some other models too. I didn't see any there right now, but it's worth a call I guess

    Yeah even though there are plenty of quick connects that are all metal they seem to still place those in cars. I'm sure it either cheaper for them to do that OR it's their evil ploy to see it break in some years and have you come into the shop to repair.
