I agree with Leaflesshadetree. The hose actually does work and I've seen foundations built using it. If you want to go with the tech, maybe even to back up the hose results, then I'd definitely RENT.

I'm not one of those "spend as much as you can" guys, but Husky is a joke. It is banned from the Jackson garage. Even when you waltz into the Depot and they have a new Husky thing like the clear glass tool chest, (a great idea), DON'T BE FOOLED. In a year or less you will rue the day.
