    Garage 4 post lift suggestions??

Some of it depends on the size/capacity of the lift, but for most "residential hobbyist" style lifts (~7000 lb. capacity) the standard 4 inch thickness is sufficient. edit: That's for a four poster. Two posters might be a whole different ballgame - I'm not sure?

    Garage 4 post lift suggestions??

The above, 5.5 hours, and $300 were what was required to install mine. Best $300 I ever spent. Like I told the installer - it would have taken more than $300 in beer and pizza to convince my friends to come over to help!

4 post lift: Backyard Buddy or Rotary(revolution)?

I think I actually got that link from this site when I started my own search many moons ago. If not from here, than from some other site - I can't possibly begin to take credit for any of it. :)

4 post lift: Backyard Buddy or Rotary(revolution)?

Some info to get you started: http://www.nwtbirds.com/lifts compared.htm If you need any pics or details on the Rotary - give me a shout. I've had mine for about 2 months now and don't know how I ever lived without it.

    Help! Water in garage

Sorry - back, front, up, down. :willy_nil It's a puddle next to the garage door. Isn't that the back? It's next to the back of the car! Anyway, it's definitely seeping under the door. The garage has been there for about 50 years or so. We've been here for 7 and never noticed...

    Help! Water in garage

So one of the drawbacks of having a spiffy new epoxy-coated floor is that I now realize that there is a low spot in my driveway that channels water under my garage door. Where before the concrete would "soak" some of that water up and I never really noticed it that much, now I am getting very...

    Professional floor coatings

My floor is great. No lifting, bubbling, or cracking. I've got a bit of a leak at one of the garage doors, which is driving me nutty trying to fix it, but otherwise the garage has been terrific.

    Costco garage cabinets...

I got the PL-UC1R-Ms. I really wanted the PL-UC2s but they were discontinued, and the PL-UC2Rs were going to be a bit too wide for my space. They're nicely made. Heavy. I like the fact that they're tall. Many of the Big Box store's units were only 24 inches tall. This is going to sound...

    Costco garage cabinets...

Just got mine and they don't seem too bad. I was a little bit disappointed because I caught them over their two week summer shut down period, so not only did I have to wait (this patience thing and me aren't really on good terms) but then I found out they were sold out of the item I really...

    tool stores in Indianapolis

Hope you at least found some good tools. I enjoyed the race, but then, A) I only live 5 hours away, and B) Sort of secretly find the politics fascinating. Had I come from overseas, I'd be somewhat less amused.

    Portable Roll Cart

Yeah, I just received and assembled a Harbor Freight model last night. Definitely not the quality of some of the previously mentioned carts, but for $34.95 - it'll do nicely. $19.95?!? MAN! I've never seen them that cheap. I should have waited! Dangit! I've been ripped! :tantrum2:

    Getting closer to completion

As you can see, there's some bracing up there in the roof, but it's WAY up there. The concrete block is 8.5 feet tall, and we added a 2 foot footer wall around the top before adding the new roof. The lowest point is the garage door opener which is just a tick over 10.5 feet tall. The lift...

    Getting closer to completion

Pics from this week. Hope to have the majority of stuff moved back in after this weekend, although my '67 is having some paint work done, so I wont' consider it truly finished until she is home! :) Hartz

    Professional floor coatings

Thanks everyone. I'm pretty excited about the whole thing. This is 8 years of dreaming and planning coming together. I haven't decided exactly what I'm doing for cabinets yet. I can't get my head around some of the prices I'm seeing for what I like. That might have to be phase 2. I think...
