Time to decide on a zero turn

My personal preference is a used commercial machine. They are built to last and are really tough. Also easier to get parts for IMO. I think your budget supports a gently used (1-2 seasons) commercial machine. Though, I do understand shopping for one kind of ***** and contractors are gearing up...

How much is a day of rain/snow going to hurt OSB roof?

I had these same thoughts when I built my roof. Mine sat for maybe 2 weeks uncovered in the rain. Absolutely no damage. A few saw cut edges swelled up a little but dried right out once the weather warmed up and I papered and shingled it.

    Waste oil burner: Pro/Con

I heat my 950sq ft 18' ceiling shop with waste oil. The garage is block walls and an non insulated wood roof(rafters) For collecting oil I have a 275 gallon home heating oil tank out back. I welded a bung at the lowest point of the tank to collect and drain off any water/antifreeze that I get...

    Flap Discs and grinding wheels

Im surprised there isnt more love for Benchmark Abrasives here. I run their flap discs, cut off wheels, and roloc sanding discs. I go through 30 or so flap disks a year and maybe 60 roloc sanding discs. Maybe I would get more life out of a different brand but at 2.** a 4.5" flat disc I cant...

Bolt seizes when theaded into welded nut.

I had this happen too actually. I think the welding slightly anneals the nut material. If the nut and the bolt are both soft they will gall.

under 500 bucks automotive scope ideas..... Hantek brand?

I have 3 scopes and they all have their strong points. I bought a pretty base model PICO. Its not an "automotive" scope so I don't get access to the waveform database. It was like 180 dollars or something. Its fast enough for all engine diagnostics that ive gotten into. Mainly scoping crank/cam...

Why did my 2 post lift keep going and going and going...

I put a disconnect in arms reach of the lift button and I already had to use it once. My cheap *** bendpak button sticks often (Mechanically). Someone on here gave me the idea and I am very thankful for that.

Cheap Chinese Auto Lift Vs Brand Name Auto Lift (Triumph vs Bendpak)

Dont buy a bendpak GP7 because of the name, its built in china just like the rest and has many safety and quality issues. Its not like the good old bendpak lifts. I think I would of been better off with a Atlas or something more proven. ALI certification is an absolute joke. I would be...

    Drive Shaft Yokes

Can you go up a size on the yoke then press a conversion U-joint in? That way you can start with a meatier yoke and maybe keep your driveshaft the same 1310 to 1350 for example... they make many sizes and combination...
