New shop wiring, riduculous electric bill

I don't *think* its the dehumidifier, the building has been in place for some time, and prior to the electric being run to the shop the same dehumidifier had been running off of an extension cord. The electric bill was slightly higher running it, but not $200 a month higher.

PolyISO or spray foam for enclosed metal carport

Well, material changed a bit. The original supplier couldn't get me what I needed, so I purchased 70 ), 4x8 sheets in two inch thickness from a different supplier at a slightly cheaper price. So I will just double layer the 2in boards to achieve the 4" thickness.

I am not sure if it is "high density", in fact I didn't even know there existed a high or low density PolyISO, it is all often referred to as just PolyISO. The studs will be covered as well with PolyISO, the sheets are 4" thick, and the studs are 12ga 2 1/4. Putting the PolyISO sheets on the...

No, these are how they come. I work with these everyday. They are extremely nice setups. $3500 seems steep for the condition, unless it comes with the tools and the foam liners we get them with.

You lost me on the "belts and braces " comment, thought it's been an extremely long day.... There will be a window unit or two used for the a/c, and a torpedo heater for the winter for the time being. Ventilation will be via a fan in the eave for times when only circulation is needed. The...
